New Zealand currently has no active cases of COVID-19 in the community and remains in Level 1—the least restrictive stage of our 4-tier COVID-19 alert system. Our borders remain restricted, but social distancing restrictions have been lifted. A small number of new cases involve people who have recently returned from overseas and were in managed isolation facilities.
Our crew are returning to the studio over the next few weeks, and we are taking this time to explore new ways of working prompted by our sudden work-from-home move. We hope to incorporate some of the productivity and wellbeing learnings that came from these efforts.
We are grateful that the actions of our Government and communities have been successful in mitigating the spread of the virus inside New Zealand. We are proud of our Weta Digital crew for banding together through this time, and our thoughts go out to everyone still affected by COVID-19, and to those whose lives are irreparably changed.
Kia kaha everyone.
