A seasoned executive with deep industry relationships, Lee has guided award-winning projects from development through delivery at some of the industry's most respected studios.
Most recently Executive Vice President of Business Development at DNEG LA, Lee previously spent 15 years at Rhythm & Hues, helping deliver groundbreaking films including the Academy Award®-winning Life of Pi and The Golden Compass. As Visual Effects Executive Producer on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, he contributed to the film's Academy Award® nomination for Best Visual Effects.
Lee's diverse experience includes executive roles at 20th Century Fox overseeing projects at Blue Sky/VIFX, and serving as CEO of East Grand Films, a $100 million development fund. He also executive produced Warner Bros.' Yogi Bear, which grossed over $200 million worldwide.
Beginning his career as a DGA First Assistant Director before transitioning into visual effects, Lee combines creative sensibility with business acumen. His strategic vision and understanding of both live-action production and post-production make him invaluable in identifying and developing new opportunities for Wētā FX.
